What it Means to Nominate an Oncology Nurse for the CARE Award: 2023 Finalist Reflects on Recognition

Nominations for the Second Annual CARE Award, which honors oncology nurses who provide essential cancer care across the continuum, are now open.

In this video, Denise Furtick, MS, BSN, RN, a finalist for the inaugural Cancer Nursing Today CARE Award, speaks about why oncology nurses should consider nominating a peer or colleague for the award.

“Think about how important this is, to feel recognized by this,” she said.

The nurse-driven process ensures that oncology nursing voices are front and center throughout the award cycle, as oncology nurses submit nominations for the award and enter their votes to determine the winner.
