Amy Pierre, RN, BSN, ANP-BC, Reflects on Importance of APP-Led Research

Amy Pierre, RN, BSN, ANP-BC, of Flatiron Health and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, joined Cancer Nursing Today at the 2024 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting to discuss why it’s critical for advanced practitioners to get involved with research.

“It’s really important for advanced practice nurses to be involved in research,” Pierre said. “I think everyone has questions that they can answer with research that they see in their everyday clinical practice. It doesn’t even have to be a huge, big scientific question. It could be even a very small research question, that once answered, can really benefit patients."
