“ONS Congress is the largest oncology nursing conference in the country. It brings together nurses from not only across our country but internationally as well,” she said. “I guarantee you that there is something for everyone, given that there will be 70-plus sessions and that they’re all organized by educational track and session track. No matter where you are in your role or where you are in your career trajectory, you’re going to find something that best fits you.”

With this year marking the 50th Annual ONS Congress, there will be noteworthy events and activities planned throughout the conference.

“This year will be extra special because this is the 50th year anniversary,” Haynes said.

In addition to the educational and professional development opportunities, ONS Congress is a great time for revitalization and connection, she said.

“What is truly remarkable and special about ONS Congress is the palpable energy of being with so many people that share passion for oncology nursing,” Haynes explained. “There’s literally a buzz that you can feel in the air.”

Overall, ONS Congress is a valuable opportunity for seasoned and first-time attendees alike, she said.

“Beyond all the top-notch educational opportunities and networking with colleagues, the thing that I’m going to look most forward to this year is talking with nurses that are attending congress for the first time and experiencing it through their eyes,” Haynes said.
